Olivarera brings authentic olive oil by working in a transparent and honest way with Spanish ecological olive farmers in Andalusia. This is mainly around Álora and in the nature reserve La Sierra de las Nieves in Tolox and El Burgo.
Our extra Virgen olive oil is ecologically certified, pure, unfiltered, cold-pressed, unmixed and without additives: a pure, authentic and honest product. Under pressure from the increasing commercialization of the olive oil market, it is becoming increasingly difficult for small-scale olive farmers to get a pure and high-quality olive oil on the table. The olive farmers around Álora have united in a so-called Coöperativa Olivarera. In this, the quality of the processed Manzanilla Aloreña olives and pressed olive oil is guarded with passion. Olivarera imports this extra virgin olive oil with a lower acidity of 0.5% directly to the Netherlands, especially for connoisseurs.
In El Burgo and Tolox, located in the beautiful nature reserve La Sierra de las Nieves, the olive farmers manage to operate completely independently. The olive oils are made from the olives Hojiblanca, Manzanilla, Picual and Zorzaleña. The olive oil from here is sharper in taste.
By taking olive oil directly from the producer, Olivarera contributes to the continued existence of olive groves and the production of authentic olive oil in the south of Spain. Olivarera makes it possible to sponsor the farmers by adopting an olive tree. As an adopter the fancier guarantees a decrease per year and donates an extra contribution in favor of the farmer.
